Principal's Message

Welcome to another year at the Cottage Street School. Our school is a fantastic community to be a part of and I hope you all find this to be true as you experience Cottage in one way or another.

The Cottage Street School is a K-5 elementary school that has many opportunities to offer our families. We have the combination of a dedicated and caring staff and an active PTO to help provide our students with a positive and engaging learning environment.

We pride ourselves in being a neighborhood school with a variety of programs that provide enriching experiences to our students. I would encourage all families to look through this website regularly as information will change as we move through the year.

We are with your children for 6 and a half hours a day for 180 days a year. This is a tremendous responsibility and one we do not take lightly at Cottage. Our main goal at Cottage is to provide a safe environment for students to grow into responsible members of the community, make academic gains and develop a strong sense of confidence and self esteem.

The one constant at Cottage is that we will continue to evaluate what we do so that the students, families and staff have the best possible learning environment. Our Twitter page is @CSS_Cougar if you would like access to regular updates/pictures on school events. This page will be used for a variety of ways to inform Cottage families.

When I am not at Cottage I love spending time with my family and exploring new places. When not with the kids you would find me reading a good book, hiking, or just finding some way to have a fun time being active.
